Established in 1961 by Wm. C. Clark and George McDowell, the firm (formerly
known as Clark-McDowell, Inc.) immediately began setting standards for
excellence in real estate management.

In 1973, it was one of the first two in Houston to be granted the AMO designation (Accredited Management Organization) by the Institute of Real Estate Management. Only about 650 firms in the United States have achieved this prestigious accomplishment.

A critical element to consider before determining which real estate management company to entrust your property to is the experience and credentials of the current partners. Lawrence C. McDowell, CPM, is President and a 35-year veteran in the business.  Larry received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Sam Houston State.  Larry is a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker.  Wojciech Kic, CPM, CCIM and Vice President, has been with the company over 20 years.  Wojciech received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from University of Houston and a Masters of Business Administration from Rice University.  Wojciech is also a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker.  George McDowell, CPM Emeritus, remains as a consultant to the firm.  George received a Bachelor of Science degree from West Point and a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard University.

All are committed to maintaining their established reputation of professionalism, maximizing the profitability and marketability of your investment property, and insuring that your working relationship with Clark McDowell & Kic will be a successful one.
